LoopCem™ matches the performance of traditional SCMs, including GGBFS and fly ash, with reduced cost and up to 40% lower embodied carbon.

Why use our product

By valorizing an abundant and growing industrial by-product, LoopCem™ addresses the global shortage of conventional SCMs such as GGBFS and fly ash.

LoopCem™ has a high amorphous content and reactive hydraulic phases. Its morphology improves cement rheology, and its inherent softness allows finer grinding for optimized reactivity and particle packing.

Independent testing conducted under ASTM C618, C989, and BS EN 196 demonstrates compressive strength between GGBFS and fly ash when blended at 30% weight replacement with CEM II.

Our Process

LoopCem™ was developed to solve two industrial challenges — abundant and underutilized EAF slag and growing demand for low-carbon cement replacements.

Our technology seamlessly integrates with existing slag-handling operations at EAF steel mills, and molten slag is cooled up to 100× faster than conventional slag granulation and produces a reliable SCM with consistent reactivity indexes between 85-100%.
